What makes Gypsea Zanzibar different from standard boat tours?
We offer private, unhurried, tide-led luxury journeys on a traditional Swahili ngalawa boat. There are no strict schedules or rushed routes; our voyages flow entirely with the wind, ocean conditions, and natural rhythms of the day.
Where do your sailing trips take place?
Our charters explore the coral-strewn shallows, seaweed farms, and private lagoons along the beautiful Swahili coast of Jambiani, Zanzibar.
What time does my sail start?
You reserve a date rather than a specific time. Because our luxury journeys are tide-led, we will calculate and confirm your precise, tide-based departure window within 24 hours of booking.
How many people can fit on the boat?
To maintain a private and intimate experience, each ngalawa comfortably accommodates 2 to 4 guests.
What should I do if I am running late?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled tide departure. Late arrivals will shorten your time on the water, and lost time is non-refundable.

Food & Beverages

What is included in the Kaskazi Sail?
The Kaskazi Sail is a 3-hour private charter priced at $280 per person. It includes your private boat, a small dedicated crew, a fresh Swahili coastal lunch, and snorkeling/swimming gear.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies?
Yes. Our booking form allows you to note any specific food allergies so Captain Rahim and the culinary crew can tailor your meal safely.
Are drinks included on the boat?
You can pre-select your preferred drinks (such as white wine, rosé, or fresh fruit juice) during booking. Premium drinks can also be pre-arranged upon request.

Booking & Policies

How do I pay and confirm my reservation?
A 50% deposit is required to secure your date. The remaining balance must be paid 3 to 7 days before your experience. Bookings are only confirmed once the deposit is received.
Do you accept last-minute bookings?
Yes, based on availability. If you book less than 24 hours before departure, 100% full payment is required immediately to confirm the spot.
